Physiotherapy in Torrevieja

Treatment of pain and musculoskeletal injury with hands as the main tool: we assess, we treat, and we give you guidance so that the ground you gain holds.

When it makes sense to come in

Physiotherapy works on muscle, joint and movement. It does not replace a medical diagnosis, but it can ease pain, bring back movement that has been lost, and teach you not to repeat whatever injured you.

  • Pain that has gone on for days without easing, or that keeps coming back.
  • Stiffness or loss of movement after an injury, a cast or an operation.
  • Discomfort that always turns up in the same movement: bending down, running, sitting for hours.

What we treat

These are the most common reasons people come to see us. If yours is not on the list, just ask: that is precisely what the initial assessment is for.

Manual therapy and therapeutic massage

Hands-on work on muscle knots, tender points and stiffness in the neck, back or limbs.

Back pain and muscle knots

Lower back, mid back and neck tension: working out what causes it, treated alongside exercises for home.

Recovery from sprains and fractures

A gradual return to movement after a sprain, a fracture or a spell of immobilisation.

Sports physiotherapy

Overload, recovery after competing, and getting ready to train again without falling into the same injury.

Manual lymphatic drainage

A gentle, structured session for heavy legs, swelling and the feeling of fluid retention.

Electrotherapy

Currents applied as support for hands-on treatment, always after the assessment and never as a treatment on its own.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral or a medical report to come?

No. Physiotherapy is a direct-access healthcare profession. That said, if you have reports, X-rays or scans, do bring them, because they sharpen the assessment considerably.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no way to know before examining you, and it is worth being wary of anyone who gives you a number over the phone. After the first assessment we give you an estimate and review it session by session.

Does the session hurt?

Some techniques on a knotted muscle are uncomfortable while they are being applied. We always work within what you can tolerate: if something hurts more than it should, say so and we change it.

One important note

The information on this page is for guidance only and does not replace an in-person assessment. Everyone responds differently, and a treatment plan is only decided after examining you. If you already have a medical diagnosis or are undergoing treatment, please bring it to your first appointment.
